What this application is
BDM uploader is a private tool used only by the owner of the YouTube channel "Billion Dollar Mistakes" to publish and manage videos on that single channel. It is not offered to the public and has no other users.
Data we access
With the channel owner's explicit consent through Google OAuth, the application uses the YouTube Data API and YouTube Analytics API to:
- upload videos, thumbnails and captions to the owner's channel and set their publishing schedule;
- update the channel's description, keywords and banner;
- read public comments on the channel's videos and post replies on the owner's behalf;
- read the channel's own performance statistics (views, watch time, subscribers).
How data is stored
OAuth tokens are stored only on the owner's computer and the owner's private server, with access restricted to the owner. Channel statistics are kept locally to plan future videos. No data is sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.
Viewers of the channel
The application does not collect personal data about viewers. Comment text and public author names that YouTube returns are used only to reply to comments and are not stored beyond what is needed for that purpose.
Google API Services
BDM uploader's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. It uses YouTube API Services; see the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
Revoking access
Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking access stops the application from reaching the channel; locally stored tokens are then deleted.
